IndexDoctor.io is a free SEO diagnostic tool. We've kept this page short on purpose so you can read it in a couple of minutes.
What IndexDoctor does
You submit a URL. Our server fetches that URL (and a small set of related URLs, for example, the corresponding /robots.txt, child sitemaps inside a sitemap index, or the canonical target of a page) and analyzes the response. The result is rendered back in your browser as a diagnostic report.
URLs you submit
- Submitted URLs are processed in memory on our server and used to produce the response you see in your browser.
- We may include the submitted URL in standard server logs for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
- We do not sell, share, or syndicate submitted URLs to third parties.
What we do not store in this MVP
- No diagnostic results database.
- No history of URLs you've submitted.
- No accounts, profiles, or saved preferences.
- No advertising pixels or retargeting scripts.
- No behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking.
See the cookies policy for the full list of cookies we may set (consent preference, essential infrastructure, and opt-in Google Analytics).
Analytics (opt-in)
If you click Accept analytics in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate page visits, sessions, and referrers. We run Analytics with IP anonymization enabled and we do not turn on Google Signals, Ads features, or cross-site advertising integrations. Picking Essential only (or dismissing the banner) means the Analytics script is never loaded and no _ga cookies are set.
Google processes the request metadata on its own infrastructure under its own privacy policy. Review it at policies.google.com/privacy.
No accounts
IndexDoctor does not require you to sign up, sign in, or create an account to run a check. We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or other personal account data in this version of the product.
Sensitive URLs
Don't submit private, password-protected, internal, or otherwise sensitive URLs to IndexDoctor. The tool is designed for publicly-reachable websites that are intended to be crawled by search engines. If you accidentally submit a sensitive URL, contact us using the address below and we'll do our best to remove it from any logs we still hold.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard request metadata such as IP address, user-agent, request path, response status, and timing. These logs are kept for a short rolling window for security and reliability purposes and are not used to build user profiles.
Third-party hosting and CDN
IndexDoctor is hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure that handles network traffic, edge caching, and security. Those providers may process the same request metadata as our server logs, under their own privacy policies, in order to deliver the service.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
